Job Description

Analyze market condition, price volatility and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability and create procurement plans.
Develop alternate suppliers based on suitable evaluation for procurement of materials in collaboration with Quality Control and Production team.
Review performance of suppliers; Initiate corrective action plan for suppliers and monitor progress
Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers Monitor performance of the reporting team and provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates.
Coordinate and oversee the procurement of raw materials to meet production volumes across all plants of the organization.
Monitor inventory levels in accordance with production plans, Negotiate and propose annual rate revisions .
Verify share of business allocation to suppliers and create supplier rationalization plan.
Plan and monitor implementation of alternate sourcing for critical components as a result of supplier assessments.
Provide timely and objective feedback to subordinates Oversee development and performance of functional staff, as per departmental budgets.
Work out procurement plan based on the sales forecast BOM.
Price tracking facilitates buying decisions.
Exploring various possibilities on saving potentials.- Negotiate contracts
Periodic review of the rates across the country for any variations.
Meeting vendors and developing new and better vendors by following a structured vendor evaluation process. Retaining the vendors that have already been developed.
Conducting audits of new vendors finalizing them.
Solving all issues regarding inventory management at plant
Work closely with marketing/ engineering function for development of Parts
Proven success driving results and delivering return on investment to the company.
