Job Description

• Responsible person to lead instrumentation and automation activities in plant ensuring that the services are provided in efficient manner within given time frame to ensure smooth operation of plant in safe and reliable manner.
• Discuss and work with site process engineers to describe the projects by means of User
• Requirements, State Transition Diagrams and Functional Sheets based on available Process and
Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Translate Functional Sheets and P&IDs to operator graphics and computer code used on PLC and DCS (Distributed Control System) installations.
• Work with maintenance to maintain the control system in good function and with reasonable spare parts.
• Perform test procedures of established code and graphics.
• Trouble shooting, coordinate with corresponding vendors to solve problems of the Instruments from Production line.
• Involve in training the plant operator how to work in automation system.
• Prepare and maintain all the required documentation of the department like SOPs, work instructions, MOCs etc for testing, calibration of different types of Instruments.
• Define, review and approve technical specifications of any new instrument/ PLC panel to be purchased
• Prepare and provide the cost estimation for any instrumentation & automation material for any plant related work & for projects
• Preparation of detailed plan and budget for execution and commissioning of automation project
• Should have basic knowledge and should be able to take care of the OT system of the plant and ensure its reliability and readiness for any non-interruptive operation of plant
• Should be able to access logic program and be able to make small modifications into it
• Prepare and maintain schedule for the timely testing and calibration of different types of Instruments
• Responsible for selection, installation and healthy operation of instruments in plant
• Establish and continue to maintain the documentation for Remote sites automation/OT, include but not
limited: • Instrument list or I/O list
• System architecture drawing
• Control Narratives or Function specifications.
• Good Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and safety culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E/ B.Tech in instrumentation & Control Engineering/ Electronics and communications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ • Overall 2-3 years experience In Instrumentation &; Automation • Experience of working in a FMCG or manufacturing organization (preferred) • Thorough knowledge of production parameters and procedures and standards • Impressive track record and experience within a similar position(s) • Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, written orders, control gauges, manufacturer’s operating instructions, and to record plant information
