NetApp, the global cloud-led, data-centric software company, has announced the appointment of Ranjit Kumar Singh as the new Site HR Leader for India and Senior Director – HR Business Partner (HRBP). The appointment marks a strategic step in strengthening NetApp’s people leadership across its India operations, which continue to serve as one of the company’s largest global talent hubs.
With India playing an increasingly critical role in NetApp’s engineering, research, and innovation ecosystem, Singh’s role will be pivotal in aligning HR delivery with business transformation goals. As Site HR Leader, he will oversee the end-to-end people strategy for NetApp India, spanning workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, succession readiness, organizational effectiveness, and cultural alignment across the Hyderabad and Bengaluru centres.
Singh brings with him over two decades of experience in HR leadership across technology, digital engineering, and enterprise solutions. Prior to joining NetApp, he held key people leadership roles in global organizations where he was responsible for HR strategy, business partnering, capability building, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. His exposure to diverse business environments positions him well to enhance NetApp’s talent competitiveness in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
In his new role, Singh will reportedly drive NetApp’s focus on strengthening employee engagement, increasing digital adoption within HR processes, and scaling leadership development programs tailored for India’s innovation and R&D workforce. He will also work closely with global HR leaders to ensure alignment with NetApp’s strategic priorities, including hybrid work evolution, diversity and inclusion, and future-ready skill development.
Industry experts believe the appointment comes at a time when cloud, AI, and data-driven businesses are pushing for stronger HR-business integration to sustain growth. NetApp’s move reflects its commitment to building a robust people ecosystem in India—one that supports innovation, agility, and long-term competitiveness.
Singh’s leadership is expected to reinforce NetApp’s standing as an employer of choice in the technology sector, while also enhancing workforce readiness to meet the company’s ambitious transformation agenda.
