Jumbo Group has announced the appointment of Shathi Sharma as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a significant enhancement to the company’s leadership team as it accelerates its people-focused strategy across its markets.
In her role as CHRO, Shathi Sharma will lead the development and execution of Jumbo Group’s people strategy, talent agenda, and organizational transformation initiatives. She will play a key role in building future-ready capabilities, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring workforce planning aligns with the Group’s long-term growth objectives.
Sharma brings with her over two decades of rich HR leadership experience across diverse industries including retail, telecommunications, banking, and large multinational organizations. Prior to joining Jumbo Group, she served as Vice President – Human Resources at Reliance Retail, where she was instrumental in driving workforce strategy, leadership development, and HR transformation initiatives across a large and complex organization.
Her professional journey also includes leadership roles such as Chief Human Resources Officer at Modenik Lifestyle and Head of Human Resources at Landmark Group, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening organizational culture, enhancing employee engagement, and aligning HR practices with business growth. Additionally, she has held senior HR positions at organizations such as Telenor, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Emirates NBD, and GE, giving her a truly global and cross-industry perspective on people management.
With her deep understanding of organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and talent strategy, Sharma is expected to bring renewed energy and strategic direction to Jumbo Group’s HR function.
