Job Description
The Supply chain manager will lead the supply chain function and report to the General Manager. The candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
Inventory Management
• Inventory management functions which includes forecasting & budgeting, stocks reconciliation, FIFO, labelling & tagging
• Dispatch plan to plant based on sales projection and holding stock.
• Responsible for monthly material planning, maintaining min / max stocking levels and timely material delivery to CFA.
• Ensuring RTV is picked up at frequent intervals to keep depot clean.
• Ensuring no Godown expiry of goods. Liquidation of slow moving stock/ low shelf-life stock through discounting/ stock transfer.
Logistics Management
• Dispatch & Delivery management, handling shipments, transit insurance, material movement, coordinating with logistics partner and plant
• Processing of GRNs, vendor payments and handling of rejections
• Tracking primary and secondary deliveries and obtaining GRNs on time
Vendor Management
• Handling 18 CFAs PAN India
• Appointment and closure of CFAs
• Monthly physical stock audit and variance analysis
• CFA & Transporter claim settlement
• Food license and other licenses issue and renewal for all CFAs
• Review CFA/ Freight overheads from time to time
• Set-up grievance settlement mechanism to ensure partner issues are resolved well in time
• Working towards continual improvement, meeting cost reduction targets, actively participate in improvement/ cost saving projects and making contingency plans
Team Management
• Ensure quality hiring, on boarding and hand holding within team
• Provide effective leadership and supervision to the team
• Regular training and development of team for better performance.
Processes & Systems
• Lead process improvements, IT enhancements to improve supply chain process and reporting system.
• To establish and develop benchmarks and measures of performance on key performance indicators.
Preparation of MIS: Monthly inventory to sales ratio & trend, consolidated stock report including fresh, low shelf life, Godown expiry and RTV along with yearly trends, daily stock report, daily low-shelf life report etc.
Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws
Desired Candidate skills
• MBA
• 5-10 years of experience of working in supply chain management coordinating with CFA and transporter.
• Able to communicate with CFA and blue-collar staff effectively
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; resilient and able to perform under pressure
• Track record of delivery, goal oriented along with ability to set clear priorities and meets deadlines
• Result oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivated
• Strong analytical skills to derive actionable insights from a lot of data
