• Sourcing the best option in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery
• Negotiation of prices and approving the purchase deals and releasing for purchase order
• Vendor development to obtain benefits in terms of Cost, Quality, Delivery
• Contract finalization, evaluation and renewals including AMCs if any
• Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business
• Collaborate with inventory control to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year
• Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses
• Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues
• Report on inventory activities and vacancies
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices
• Knowledge of sourcing procurement, and vendor development of steel, bough-out (mechanical/electrical), paint, packaging and hardware material
• Knowledge of inventory and materials management
• Process know-how of engineering, manufacturing companies
