The primary responsibility of this function is to maintain company’s books of accounts as per statutory requirement. This function is a authenticate source of data for MIS. It also plays a very important role for establishing strong financial controls in the organization. Accuracy, timely analysis & feedback to management has a major bearing on the profitability & risk management of this role. This role will be responsible for accounting functions covering:
• Accounting &related Compliances.
• Audits (Internal & External)
• Direct & Indirect Tax compliances.
• Supervising employee payroll & related statutory payroll compliances
• Fixed assets management
• Sales/Cost of sales Accounting. Inventory Accounting
• Establishing strong financial controls in the organization.
• Implementing Business SOPs.
• Adherence to RACM.
• Insurance management related to Group Medical Cover, Term Insurance, Property, Marine & CGL insurance covers.
The role will be a leadership role with a team of around 11 team members including Deputy GM / Sr Manager & Asst Manager.
The role involves coordination with Management & key internal & external stakeholders for completion of the above functions.
• Must be a Chartered Accountant with 13-15 years of experience out of which at least 3-4 years should be of handlining entire accounts, Audit & Taxation and should have worked with senior management or decision makers. • In-depth knowledge of direct and indirect taxation (specifically GST)including TP compliances. • Having sound knowledge of Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) & generally accepted accounting standards (GAAS). • Experience in corporate governance • Must have handled a team of 8-10 team members which has a mix of senior and middle staff. • Technically updated on Income Tax Act, GST Act and Companies Act & Other Laws. • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions. Inspire confidence and create trust amongst peers, colleagues & team members. • Strong Strategic and Business Management skills, Ability to work with and interpret Data, ability to multi-task and manage both individual and team engagements.
