Job Description

Company has as disrupted the toughest space in the consumer products industry in India – edible oils. The company, led by a first-generation entrepreneur, has successfully carved out a niche & gained significant share against both Indian & MNC. FMCG behemoths in a short period of time & built scale that is unprecedented in recent times. The company is looking for a young, ambitious new product development executive to move into the next orbit.

As the product development executive of this not-so-young startup, you will be a member of the team responsible for our sourcing and new product development efforts. You will be responsible for expanding the portfolio by way of new product launches. You will have the unique opportunity to leave/create a legacy; something that only startups that have achieved scale can offer.

Key Results Areas:

The candidate will be expected to take a 360 degree approach to new product development right from development of vendors, development of product, sourcing, packaging, quality control, pricing strategy to market placement and promotion strategy.

· Development of suppliers as per business requirement, negotiation of margin, finalizing the cost of product.

· Product Expansion.

· Bench marking competitor action in pricing and promotions, discount policy, validity period to arrive at pricing strategy.

· Conducting product sampling: tasting, smell and appearance tests.

· Setting up QC norms from new vendors and creating SOP for the same.

· Coordinating with the Legal team to ensure packaging conforms to FSSAI norms and Legal and metrology standards.

· Coordination with the sales and marketing team to plan market placement and promotion strategy.

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential Criteria:

· M.Sc in Food Technology

· Excellent communication and presentation skills; Highly organized, a self-starter, resilient and able to perform under pressure.

· Track record of delivery, goal oriented along with ability to set clear priorities and meet deadlines.

· Result oriented, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated.
