The role of GT Automation Test Engineer is accountable for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases focusing on any projects leveraging Tosca services.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Test Leads, Project Manager(s) and/or Solution Manager(s) to understand and document the testing requirements
• Daily coordination and follow up with Partner’s onshore and offshore team members on their assigned tasks
• Calculate high-level testing resource estimate based on project size, complexity and duration
• Analyze testability of project requirements
• Participate in building the Automation Test Strategy
• Responsible for multiple phases of the automation testing, including but not limited to:
o Test case creation automated/manual
o Test data plan
o Test Resource plan
o Test case execution
o Risk Coverage Analysis
o Defect process
o Test and defect reporting
• Produce other test Deliverables such as, Test Plan, Test Cases and Test Metrics reports
• Prepare POC on the feasibility of new applications being automated
• Schedule and run or monitor the defect meeting
• Timely reporting of project status to Test Leads
• Report any concerns on testing preparation, quality, or timelines to Test and Project Management
• Complete post-project defect analysis for possible improvements
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting for any issues with existing automation assets
• Provide oversite/coaching to existing automation team members
• Resolve issues with Testability of Requirements, User Stories, or other documentation
• Responsible for a creative solutions to testing challenges while still assuring proper testing
• Actively contribute to sharing testing and tool knowledge inside of the testing team.
Job Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
• Minimum of 5 years combined of hands on experience in automation testing using Tricentis Tosca test automation tool in the following environments
o SAP
o Web
o Java
o Mobile
o API
• Experience with creating cross platform manual and automated test plans and test cases
• Professional experience in all phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) that include Requirement Gathering, Analysis/Design, Documentation, Development and Testing.
• Experienced in conducting different types of testing including Black Box Testing, GUI Testing, Data Driven Testing, Back End Testing, Integration, Regression, Functional and System testing.
• Experience in business requirements analysis and test case design using Test Case management tools: Azure DevOps, ALM, TFS, JIRA plug-ins, etc.
• Ability to work on multiple automation projects simultaneously
• A self-motivated team player with good communication skills and the ability to multi-task
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze complex problems
• Management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, and execute theTest plan).
