This is a key role, supporting the work of the company at the most senior level. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be required to:
• Supporting the day-to-day work of the Managing Director.
• Able to plan, organize anticipate requirements well in advance to support the smooth running of the business.
• Identifies issues and sources of potential difficulties in Agency management and operations; obtains information for analysis and evaluates alternatives for action; develops internal relationships necessary to effect solutions.
• Plans & conducts a variety of special administrative projects and studies for the Director; after approval of recommendations, makes presentations to the County Administrator, Board of Supervisors, or state or federal representatives.
• Directs the research, analysis, preparation, and editing of administrative staff reports; coordinates the publication of the annual Agency program overview.
• Investigates and responds to concerns & complaints from clients, community advocacy groups, members of the Board of Supervisors and the public.
• May serve as a member of the Agency Executive Staff, the Agency Budget Work Group and on a variety of councils, committees and task forces.
• Coordinates the Agency's public information program; writes and disseminates a variety of informational materials; handles media inquiries and coordinates the Agency speaker's bureau.
• Represents the Agency and the County in meetings with and presentations to other departments, governmental and community organizations and the public.
• Preparation of a variety of correspondence, periodic and special reports, informational publications, policies, procedures, and other written materials; maintain accurate records & files related to work performed.
• Operates a variety of standard office equipment including a word processor and/or computer; may drive a County or personal vehicle to attend meetings.
