Job Description

• Responsible person to lead the electrical department in plant ensuring that electrical and automation services are provided in efficient manner within given time frame to ensure smooth operation of plant in safe and reliable manner
• Ensure that Lock-out Tag-out procedure is followed properly and is complied to standards and norms defined by company
• Drive safe and reliable operation of electrical & automation system in plant to ensure safety of plant personnel and property
• Maintain 100% compliance with the preventive maintenance as per the schedule
• Should have knowledge of earthing system and ensure that it is properly implemented and maintained at palnt
• Liaise with government officials, as and when required, especially for electrical inspections of the site
• Provide regular training to the team of electricians to increase their skillset and continuous improvement
• Raise purchase request and select the correct item to be ordered to maintain the inventory of critical spares/ consumables for the smoot operation of plant. Also, to ensure timely renewals of AMCs
• Prepare and maintain all the required documentation of the department like SOPs, work instructions, MOCs etc.
• Co-ordinate with management and the department in-charges in order to decide the priority and nature of the work/ project to be performed
• Hands on experience on reading/ preparing electrical drawings on any of the software like AutoCaD, Smart sketch etc.
• Review and approve drawings/ technical specifications of any new equipment/ panels/ instrument to be purchased
• Prepare and provide the cost estimation for any electrical & automation material and work & projects
• Preparation of detailed plan and budget for execution and commissioning of project
• Responsible for leading the electrical safety and upgradation projects and supporting other CAPEX projects
• Should have basic knowledge and should be able to take care of the OT system of the plant and ensure its reliability and readiness for any non-interruptive operation of plant
• Support automation projects in plant; participate in preparation of control logic & sequence of plant operation along with the department in-charges
• Should have knowledge of PLC/ DCS & IO system and how the logic works
• Responsible for selection, installation and healthy operation of instruments in plant
• Monitor and control operations and capital spent and keep it under the defined budget
• Fulfil and maintain compliance with all the statutory requirements in terms of running the electrical equipment

Desired Candidate Profile

1. B.E/ B.Tech in Electrical 2. Overall 7-10 year experience or 2-3 years’ experience as manager in electrical department in industry 3. Experience of working in a FMCG or manufacturing organization (preferred) 4. Thorough knowledge of production parameters and procedures and standards 5. Impressive track record and experience within a similar position(s) 6. Have deep knowledge on Lock-out-tag-out procedures 7. Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, written orders, control gauges, manufacturer's operating instructions, and to record plant information 8. Able to give remote support in case of urgency 9. Have good knowledge of advanced technology available in market in terms of switchgears, instruments etc and should ensure that the new installations in the plant are state-of-the-art type 10. Have good knowledge of electricity act and norms and regulations defined by government of India (IS/IEC)
