Job Description

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements for painting and coating work.
• Conduct and oversee inspection activities for surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes.
• Prepare / Provide guidance on coating selection, application procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain thorough inspection records and generate quality control reports.
• Inspect surfaces before coating to ensure they meet specified cleanliness, profile, and environmental conditions.
• Verify compliance with standards such as SSPC, ISO, or NACE requirements for surface preparation.
• Monitor coating application for proper techniques, thickness, and coverage.
• Ensure the use of approved materials and adherence to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Verify proper mixing, thinning, and pot-life management of coatings.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards in all coating-related activities.
• Record and verify environmental parameters (e.g., temperature, humidity, dew point) during surface preparation and application
• Conduct tests such as dry film thickness (DFT), adhesion tests, and holiday detection as per project specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports, review test certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, ISO 12944, SSPC, or other applicable standards & handle third party inspectors for related inspections.
• Train team members on painting and coating inspection techniques and quality standards.
• Verify compliance with HSE standards during surface preparation and coating processes
