Detailed Job Description of Executive Officer - Technology

• Leading policy discussion, guiding stakeholders and tracking policy developments across a wide spectrum of technologies
• Analyse existing technology developments, prepare background briefs and thought leadership reports on select technologies. Interview industry leaders and come up with specific high quality white papers on technologies
• Prepare subject specific submissions/ recommendations and engage in consultation which will include coordinating and drafting responses to consultation papers, position papers and speaking notes for company representation in conferences, panels, round tables etc.
• Take up consultancy assignments and guide the member companies on improving their innovation and research matrices
• Manage innovation consultancy projects within the Technology portfolio
• Work with external stakeholders, central government officials and experts to fetch potential opportunities and consultancy assignments on innovation, technology and R&D.

Desired Candidate Profile

Prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing/ R&D set up/ plant is a must.
A Master’s degree in Engineering/ Sciences is preferred.
A basic familiarity/understanding of the key technologies is required
Business development skills and ability to monetize projects / reports to help in growth of the Technology portfolio
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel is required.
Fluent written and spoken English is necessary
Excellent skills in research, analysis,
Writing, speaking, and client relations are required.
