My question is, does FMLA cover the care of a foster child when an employee has to take a sick day when the foster child is sick. This would be for a non-serious health condition. Simply the child has the flu and can't go to school so the employee has to stay home with them. Is this covered under FMLA or is there also a state law that would cover this if FMLA does not?
