Follow up letter mainly is written by interviewed candidate to the Hr department of the company in order to know the status of the position vacant. This kind of letter is also written by Business Development team to the probable clients regarding the visits and prospective business ventures. This letter is used for many purposes like to know the status of the payment, job application, tender submission, business proposal, donation request, resignation etc. This letter is basically a document send by a person or an organization after sending an application regarding anything. The reason behind sending a follow up letter to a person or an organization is to ask for the reply of our application which we have sent earlier and to know what the current status of our application. This letter can be send through an email to ask for the response of our application.
